Continuance Policy
Civil First Returns can only be continued in writing by agreement of all parties. Civil Trials can only be continued in court. Criminal cases can only be continued in advance in writing by agreement with the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office. 804-365-6185. Continuance Policy
Criminal and traffic cases must be submitted to the Commonwealth’s Attorney for approval. Civil cases need the signatures of all parties involved. All continuance requests must be approved by the Judge.
